Introducing...

Welcome to the first post of our new blog! I decided to enter the blogging world now that we will have more information and pictures to share with our new addition to the family in June. Speaking of our new family member, today we went for my 20-week appointment with an ultrasound which confirmed the gender of our baby. I had a feeling from the very beginning it was a boy. Maybe it was mother's intuition or the correctly predicted outcome from the Chinese calendar/survey I found online that hinted at the gender, but the ultrasound also revealed we are having a boy! Now that you have been introduced to our blog, we also wanted to introduce you to Elijah Joseph...
Above is an image of his face slightly smiling with what appears to be a foot towards the bottom. The ultrasound technician said he had has head pressed up against the side, creating the "smushed" effect.

Eli weighs 13 ounces and is still on track with his development with an expected due date of June 20.

Halfway there at 20 weeks:

  2. What wonderful news!!! Thanks so much for sharing with all of us! The McDonalds will be overrun with boys like we were with girls:) Aren't 3-D ultrasounds the coolest thing? I'm really liking the name "Eli," although I thought that was to be a surprise until the birth??? I don't think we guessed that one, did we? One important piece of advice -- don't EVER buy him an XBOX!!!
Love to all of you - Karla
