I had been thinking about getting Eli's hair trimmed for the first time for a while now, but it became even more apparent when viewing his 9-month pictures that it was time to make the appointment. Just in time for the Easter weekend, Eli got his first haircut this morning. Ian even met up with us so he could be there too.
We took Eli to the same hair stylist that also gave Ian his first haircut. When we got there, she told us a funny story about how Ian would always have to hold his mom's hand while he was getting his hair cut. Eventually, he must have felt he didn't need the security anymore, and he had told her to go and wait in the other room.
Looking back in the "archives," I came across this picture Ian had in his baby book of his first haircut.
Over 28 years later, here is Elijah ready for his first haircut:
He really enjoyed checking out the sights of this new place and stayed happy as long as he had something to play with and of course put in his mouth.
Since he became too distracted and kept looking around, he ended up sitting on Ian's lap so he would stay still to finish the job.
Lastly, it was time for the final trimming of the sides, which was his
least favorite as you can tell by his expression in the mirror. I think
what scared him the most was the sound of the clippers.
(Nice pose Ian...lol!)
All done!
